PURPOSE: To obtain a PWM inverter which surely prevents harmonics, which achieves the small size and the low loss of an output filter and in which an impedance at a fundamental frequency is made low. CONSTITUTION: A PWM-inverter main circuit 2 is linked to a system 10 through an output filter which removes harmonic components from the output of the PWM-inverter main circuit. At this time, series resonance circuits 13, 14 in which the carrier frequency and the double frequency of a PWM inverter are used as resonance frequencies across the connection point of linkage reactors 11, 12 and a reference potential are used as the output filter, and only the component of the carrier frequency is removed. In addition, the filter is not inserted between the inverter and the system, and an impedance at a fundamental frequency is lowered. |
