PURPOSE: To prevent burrs and beard-like pieces which may cause short circuit and reduce a wavy cut surface of an electrode sheet 10 for a nonaqueous electrolytic battery. CONSTITUTION: The distance of an upper blade roller 5 to a lower blade roller 7 is set larger than the thickness of a metal foil 10a of an electrode sheet 10 for a nonaqueous electrolyte battery, the clearance between the upper blade roller 5 and the lower blade roller 7 is set to 5μm or less, and the surface roughness of the upper blade roller 5 and the lower blade roller 7 is set to 1.5μm or less on the edge surface and to 3μm or less on the circumferential surface. The hardness of rubber rollers 6, 8 is set to 50-80 in Shore hardness, and the diameter of the rubber rollers 6, 8 is made equal to or slightly larger than the diameter of the upper blade roller 5 to constitute a cut device 1 for the electrode sheet for the nonaqueous electrolyte battery.
