PURPOSE: To reduce the teaching man-hour by not extracting a metering object point as a measuring point when the angle formed between the faces of a numerical model is smaller than a reference angle and a recessed shape is also formed by the metering object point and the points set before and after the inspecting point. CONSTITUTION: An angleθn formed between the shape faces of a numerical model is calculated at points An and Cn set before and after a metering point Bn respectively. Then, the angleθn is compared with the least valueθs of the angle formed between both side faces 6 and 7 of a recessing part where the machining remainder value of a tool 5 of the least diameter is included within a measurement crossing ds. Whenθn <θs is satisfied, dn >ds is satisfied for a distance dn between the position of a folding point F of a design section shape DF corresponding to the recessed part having the angleθn against the cross ds and an actual machining surface. Thus, the measurement is not required for the periheral areas of both points An and Cn against the machining remaining part where the error due to the machining remaining value of the tool 5 exceeds the measuring crossing ds .
