PURPOSE: To provide a DC type gas discharge display device having a structure capable of providing a resistor for an auxiliary anode, even when a panel is manufactured by using thick film printing technique, and to provide a method for manufacturing this DC type gas discharge display device. CONSTITUTION: On a back panel substrate 11 of a DC type gas discharge display device, the first belt-shaped resistor layer 21 is provided in an upper side of a belt-shaped wiring anode 13, and the second belt-shaped resistor layer 23 is provided in an upper side of a belt-shaped wiring axiliary anode 15, respectively through a wiring insulating layer 17. The first/second through holes 25, 27 electrically connecting the wiring anode 13, wiring auxiliary anode 15 and the resistor layers, first/second connecting electrode parts 31, 33 burying respectively these through holes and the third through hole 37 serving as a discharge anode 30 are provided, to form these first/second/third through holes into a 0.05 to 0.15mm hole diameter by a sandblasting method. |
