PURPOSE: To provide an incremental encoder which reduces the number of incremental signal output signals and increase, the mass productivity and the reliability. CONSTITUTION: The rotary encoder comprises a raw signal output unit 11 for outputting a raw signal, a direction discriminator 12 for counting the signal, an up-down counter 13, an initial value detector 14, a data latched circuit 15 for outputting data and converting the data, a Z signal converter 16, a parallel- serial converter 17, and a power source ON-OFF detector 18. |
