PURPOSE: To obtain a frameless electric rotating machine in which the gap between stator and rotor can be set easily and accurately without requiring any modification or reassembling of the stator regardless of error in the length thereof. CONSTITUTION: A pair of brackets 3 for supporting a rotary shaft rotatably and other bracket are disposed on the opposite sides of a stator 5 and then they are coupled integrally by means of through bolts 4 to constitute a frameless motor. In such frameless motor, a pre-load spring 8 is interposed between the bracket 3 and the end face of the stator 5 in order to absorb the errorΔL in the length of the stator 5. Furthermore, a push screw 9 reinforces the pre-load F1 of the spring 8 when it is lower than the driving force of a through bolt 4.
