PURPOSE: To obtain a method for producing a multilayer ceramic capacitor having desired capacity with high accuracy. CONSTITUTION: A long ceramic green sheet 9 is carried in the longitudinal direction and the thickness at an appropriate part thereof is measured by means of a measuring unit 2 during carriage. Based on a measurement of thickness of the long ceramic green sheet 9, a printer 3 determines the number of ceramic green sheets to be laminated on which an inner electrode is formed. A apparatus 7 punches ceramic green sheets of predetermined size out of the long ceramic green sheet and then the ceramic green sheets are laminated. The laminated ceramic green sheets are pressed to obtain a laminate which is then fired to produce a sintered ceramic. Finally, an outer electrode is formed on the end face of the sintered ceramic. |
