DEFLECTION YOKE DRIVE CIRCUIT

PURPOSE: To set the inductance of a deflection coil higher even when a deflec tion frequency is high and a withstand voltage of a switching element has a limit. CONSTITUTION: A deflection coil 11 is separated into a 1st division coil 8 and a 2nd division coil at its tap 13, a power supply 7 is switched by a switching element 1 to cause a deflection current to the 1st division coil 8 and a 2nd switching element 2 is switched synchronously with the 1st switching element to generate a deflection current to the 2nd division coil 9 in magnetic coupling with the 1st division coil 8. Thus, the deflection magnetic field is generated by two division coils and it is equivalent that the deflection coil 11 is driven by a voltage twice the power supply 7 and then the coil at a low voltage with a small inductance realizes the operation of the coil at a high voltage with a high inductance.
