PURPOSE: To obtain a solar power generation device by which electric power is output substantially at a power factor of 1 irrespective of the magnitude of generated electric power by providing a voltage controlled oscillator which controls the output frequency of an inverter according to a frequency signal which is proportional to the output voltage of a power factor control circuit. CONSTITUTION: The output voltage of a DC-to-DC voltage converter 2 is supplied to an inverter 3, and it is supplied also to a power factor control circuit 10. The phase difference signal (the output of a phase difference detection circuit 9) of a voltage applied to a linkage reactor 4 and of a commercial power supply voltage is supplied to the power factor control circuit 10. A voltage controlled oscillator 11 controls an oscillation frequency according to the output of the power factor control circuit 10 in such a way that the phase difference between the commercial power supply voltage and a linkage reactor voltage becomes always 90 deg. (the phase difference between the commercial power supply voltage and an inverter output current is 0) even when the output electric power of a solar cell 1 is changed. Thereby, irrespective of a quantity of isolation on the solar cell 1 and of a load state, an operating state in which an output power factor becomes 1 can be maintained. |
