摘要 PURPOSE: To make grain boundary discontinuous on the boundary surface between the first layer and the second layer so as to suppress the propagation of corrosion along the grain boundary and to maintain good reflection performance of the light-reflecting layer without change in the lapse of time. CONSTITUTION: The light-reflecting layer 24 of an optical disk such as a compact disk and laser disk or a magneto-optical recording medium (MO disk), phase-change recording medium, write-once alloy recording medium, write-once dye recording medium and the like is formed to have a laminated structure comprising plural layers of first layers (thin film M1) and second layers (thin film M2). It is preferable that the both layers are alternately deposited for two or more times. The thickness of the first and second layers is specified to between >=0.2nm which is almost the size of one atom and <=20nm which is almost the size of the grain.
