METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR SHAPING OUTPUT TRAFFIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient method for minimizing cell delay deviation(CVD) by calculating and determining cell allocation by way of a processor on the basis of required algorithm and storing it in a time-division memory(TDM) table. SOLUTION: A processor 235 of an output adapter 20 connected to an exchange 30 receives a traffic speed parameter from a source, calculates on the basis of a general cell speed algorithm(GCRA) an ideal traffic flow term T and the number S of cell position reserved in a TDM table 270, estimates the CVD, stores a cell position corresponding to the minimum CVD in the table 270 and writes a pointer which indicates an optimal cell position. Before an input and output traffic is connected according to the content of table 270, an efficient output traffic for minimizing the CVD is shaped (or a cell is buffered).
