PURPOSE: To control the rapid sinking of a brake pedal, the generation of an oil violent sound and the generation of a G shock and the like due to stepwise rapid deceleration when a regenerative mode is changed over to a hydraulic pressure braking mode. CONSTITUTION: This braking device comprises a regenerative braking means for returning electric power generated with the rotation of a front wheel Fr and/or a rear wheel Rr to a battery on a vehicle, a hydraulic pressure generating means including a master cylinder 4 for generating a hydraulic pressure in accordance with the operating quantity of a brake pedal 21 and a hydraulic pressure braking means including a wheel cylinder 5 (Fr) and a wheel cylinder 5 (Rr) for giving braking force to the front wheel Fr and/or the rear wheel Rr in accordance with a hydraulic pressure generated by the hydraulic pressure generating means including the master cylinder 4. When the braking operation of the regenerative braking means is changed over to the braking operation of the hydraulic pressure braking means, the regeneration due to the regenerative braking means is reduced and after that, the braking operation of regenerative braking is shifted to the braking operation of the hydraulic pressure braking means. |
