PURPOSE: To obtain an aq. developer having a high developing speed to a relief after exposure and used for making a photosensitive flexographic plate excellent in image reproducibility and resistance to water-base ink by using an aq. soln. contg. fatty acid alkanolamide or its ethylene oxide adduct. CONSTITUTION: This aq. developer is an aq. soln. contg. fatty acid alkanolamide or its ethylene oxide adduct. The fatty acid alkanolamide has a structure formed by bringing fatty acid and alkanolamine into amido bond. The alkanolamine is an amine compd. having hydroxyl group-contg. hydrocarbon groups bonded to a nitrogen atom. The fatty acid alkanolamide is, e.g. stearic acid ethoxyethanolamide, coconut oil fatty acid ethoxyethanolamide, coconut oil fatty acid diethoxyethanolamide or lauric acid diethoxyethanolamide. |
