PURPOSE: To make it easy to grasp a recommendation road state by deducing a freeway included in a recommendation road searched from map data, and instructing and indicating the entrance or the exit of the freeway. CONSTITUTION: When a condition of route search is set by input operation from an operator 8, a signal processor 4 sets a present position P of a vehicle on a road map which has been measured by a GPS receiver 3 as a start point at the time, and automatically searches a recommendation road up to a target point O. At the time the signal processor 4 judges whether a freeway is included in the recommendation route CR searched from road map information stored by discrimination between general roads and freeways. In the case where the freeway is included, calculated indication marks of the entrance (IN) and the exit (OUT) of the freeway are shown on the road map shown on a display. |
