PURPOSE: To provide a constitution of large sized image plane with no joint by uniform picture element arrangement, by inserting a picture element, guided by a light guide device from a different display device, into between image tubes arranged in a plane. CONSTITUTION: A frame invalid width SW1 constitutes a vessel right side face part of an image tube DD1, and a frame invalid width SW2 constitutes a left side face part of an image tube DD2. Between a picture element PX1 in a right end of the image tube DD1 and a picture element PX2 in a left end of the adjacent image tube DD2, a space of d+2w is provided, to insert a picture element PX3 guided by a light guide device from a display device. In this way, an image plane of equal pitch as a whole, with no joint in right/left directions, is constituted. The constitution is similarly applied to also in upper/directions. |
