PURPOSE: To shorten the connection time by measuring the reception signal intensity of the data request message signal transmitted from a mobile terminal to discriminate the terminal position at the time of connection between a base station and the mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: Plural smart radio zones 6 (6a to 6s) are formed by small radio zone setting means 4 (4a to 4s), and a large radio zone 5 is formed by a large radio zone setting means 3. The data request message from a specific mobile terminal 7 is simultaneously received by reception parts of plural zones 6, and sensed signal intensities are measured. A controller in a base station 1A determines a maximum intensity and discriminates that the mobile terminal 7 exists in the corresponding zone 6. Thus, the small radio zone whose transmission/reception means should be used to transmit data is determined, and data is transmitted by the transmission part of the transmission/reception means of the small radio zone which the existence of the terminal 7 in is discriminated. |
