摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To provide a device which can detect a motion vector through small operation quantity at the time of frame/field adaptive movement compensation. CONSTITUTION: This device is constituted of a matching detector 4 to detect the motion vector of a sub-sample field, the matching detector 5 to detect a field motion vector, a converter 8 to calculate the approximate value of the matching signal of a sub-sample frame from the matching signal of the sub- sample field, a frame MV calculator 9 to detect a sub-sample frame motion vector from the approximate value of the matching signal of the sub-sample frame, and the matching detector 11 to calculate the matching signal on the basis of the motion vector of the sub-sample frame and detect a frame motion vector. The matching signal at the same position as the matching signal of a frame signal among the arthmetic results (matching signal) of the sub-sample field signal is used as the approximate value, and by considering this to be the matching signal of the frame signal, the motion vector of the frame signal is detected.</p>
