摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a solid-state imaging device capable of portioning out signal electric charges without generating stripelike defects due to portioning failure of the signal electric charges in a horizontal transfer register composed of two transfer parts for horizontally transferring the signal electric charges of the same pixel by sharing with the horizontal transfer. CONSTITUTION: This solid image device comprises two horizontal transfer registers 4 and the first horizontal transfer register 4 on the side of the image part portions out signal electric charges of the same pixel into two transfer parts 4a, 4b by a control gate part 5 to horizontally transfer. A transfer channel 17 is formed in the transfer gate part 5 between bits (ϕH2) of the transfer part 4a and bits (ϕH1) behind by 1 bit in a horizontal transfer direction comparing with bits (ϕH2) of the transfer part 4b paired with the former, and the signal electric charges are portioned out between the two transfer parts 4a and 4b through this transfer channel 17.
