PURPOSE: To provide a rear cabinet for a television receiver, which can be transported while being stacked with plural cabinets at low cost without damaging a peripheral surface. CONSTITUTION: The rear cabinets for television receiver 5 are connected to the rear part of a front cabinet to which a cathod-ray tube is fitted. Plural boss parts 9a-9b are piercingly provided for appropriate parts of the inner peripheral surfaces 5a of the rear cabinets. Recessed part 10a-10d are formed at the outer peripheral surfaces 5b of the rear cabinets 5 by causing them to oppose the respective boss parts 9a-9d. The plural rear cabinets 5 are stacked and the tip parts 9A of the boss parts 9a-9d are engaged with the recessed parts 10a-10d of the adjacent rear cabinets 5. Thus, prescribed gapsαare formed between the stacked rear cabinets 5.
