Multi=operation machining system for shoe uppers

The system incorporates two or more machining stations, together with travelling machining heads (6,7). The latter are so mounted that their working areas do not come in contact and a partition (8) extends parallel to the head travel direction. Lock gates (9) in the partition form passage through which the shoes travel between the stations, so that there is no open connection between the head working areas. Cleaning equipment, typically compressed-air jets, is mounted inside the passages for the uppers. Alternatively, rotary or oscillating brushes can be used, with an exhaustion system for the dust brushed free.
