A drill substantially comprises the drill shaft (1) and the drillpoint part (3) which is in particular made from solid hard metal. A diametral shaft groove for accommodating the drill point part (3) penetrates the end face (2) of the drill shaft (1). The drill shaft (1) bears on its periphery clamping grooves which extend into the region of the shaft groove (7) and continue into the drill point part (3). The flanks of the shaft groove (7) are aligned at least partially parallel to one another and to the shaft axis (12). The drill point part (3) with its side faces (13, 14) corresponding to the groove flanks (10, 11) is clamped in a force-locking manner by an insertion-clamping fit in the shaft groove (7) owing to resilient pressure exerted by the groove flanks (10, 11).
