This invention is a method for providing ultraviolet light absorbers into a polymeric material like paint which comprises the steps of providing a coating of a composition comprising ultraviolet light absorber (UVA) on the polymeric material and heating the UVA containing coating to an elevated temperature for a time sufficient to cause the UVA to diffuse into the polymeric material.
