Insulating panel with given length and width format and thickness

The panel comprises cuts (6,7a,b) which are so deep that the resulting strips (3a,b) are firmly interconnected, as well as forming a flat top and bottom surface. They are individually separable, or can be cut-off w.r.t. an edge of a solid base. The insulating panel (1) is a composite of individual strips of given length, width, and thickness, linked at longitudinal sides. At the butting sides the strip may be glued together such that they can be separated or cut-off w.r.t. the base edge.
