Acoustic and electronic saxophone

The saxophone is fitted with a small box containing a microcomputer consisting of several digital inputs, an analogue-digital converter, a serial interface and an internal programme memory. Under each valve or flap or key there is a microswitch, connected with the appropriate digital input. A microphone is installed on the saxophone, connected with the A/D converter, and the serial interface, which is modified to the MIDI standard and pref. connected with a synthesiser. The programme in the computer evaluates the valve positions and sends commands to the synthesiser.
