Coloured dry electrophotographic toner based on a binder resin, pigment and charge regulating agent has a turbidity factor of 1-10%. Also claimed is a method of producing the toner. Pref. the pigment has an average dispersed dia. of not more than 0.2 mu m and esp. is C.I. Pigment Yellow 180. The charge regulating agent is a metal salt of a salicylic acid deriv. The toner also contains fine hydrophobic SiO2 powder with a deg. of hydrophobicity not less than 50%.
