A header pipe (21) forming a header of a refrigerant condenser and a receiver (3) are joined by brazing. In a portion where the header pipe (21) and the receiver (3) communicate, four ribs (33) provided on the perimeter of a communication hole (31) of the header pipe (21) are inserted within a communication hole (32) of the receiver (3), and thereafter the ribs are bent in an outer direction of the hole. Accordingly header (10) and the receiver (3) are provisionally joined together prior to brazing. Additionally, a projection (35) provided on an upper-side cap (34) of the receiver (3) is inserted into a hole (36) provided in the header pipe 21. An end portion thereof is then widened outwardly, whereby the header pipe (21) and receiver (3) are again provisionally joined prior to brazing. In this way, both ends of the receiver (3) are provisionally joined to the header pipe (21) prior to brazing, and so the header (10) and the receiver (3) do not slip during brazing. <IMAGE>
