The cylinder head as the baseplate (31) for the combustion chamber designed to have dowels (33) located in it, which face radially outwards. The cylinder head base (12) which surrounds the combustion chamber (21) section is thereby connected to the cylinder head. Cooling channels are located between the dowels, which are designed to form a common circular section (36) together. The dowels and cooling channels are symmetrical to at least one longitudinal plane of the cylinder head.
