Drying degradation-sensitive polymers, esp. polyester

摘要

The process (1) for drying polymers and polycondensates which are susceptible to degradation (I) comprises drying the polymer in the form of solid particles in a suitable drier at below 100 deg C with a drying gas which has a dew pt. of below -25 deg C (II). Also claimed is a two-stage drying process (2) comprising (a) predrying solid particles of (I) at below 100 deg C with the aid of drying gas with a dew pt. below -30 deg C (III), and (b) further drying in a conventional drier with drying gas at above 100 deg C.
