Hydroxyaryl phosphite stabilized compositions

Selected hydroxyaryl phosphites of formula I <CHEM> which are known as ligands for catalysts for hydroformylation reactions and as intermediates for making complex phosphite stabilizers, are surprisingly effective themselves as stabilizers for organic materials, particularly polyolefins.
