FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method for application of film coatings to pipe internal surface is realized by spraying in vacuum with compensated ionic beam of target having hollow and a system of side holes. The target is located inside the pipe and moved with its hollow directed forward from one end of the pipe to the other towards ionic flux. In this case, the pipe internal surface is preliminarily activated with ionic beam. The target or pipe is continuously rotated round its longitudinal axis with noncongruent angular velocities, and the target is moved from one end of the pipe to the other at constant or increasing speed.
