<p>The circuit for measuring the time interval between a start signal (D) and an end signal (F) includes a first clock (H) which delivers pulses of period T, and a second clock whose pulses are shifted w.r.t. the first. A digital circuit (2, 3, 4) counts the number of clock pulses which are followed by an entire period T, between the start and end signals. An analogue circuit (6, 7, 12, 10, 13) determines the time fraction of a clock period beyond the integer number of periods counter, and converts this into digital format. A processing circuit (14) then determines the duration of the time interval.</p> |
