SUBSTANCE: method for treatment of metals and alloys includes exposure of products to pulse electromagnetic radiation of microwave bands with the flux density on the product equalling 1000 W/sq.cm and over. Microwave bands cover electromagnetic oscillations with frequencies from 30 MHz to 3000 GHz. Such treatment of products may be performed, as distinct from the treatment with high-power ionic beams, at the atmospheric pressure that considerably simplifies the problem of changing products. EFFECT: improved service characteristics of treated products.
