FIELD: metallurgy; continuous steel casting. SUBSTANCE: two-tier ingot mould has water-air cooling arrangement. Lower tier has independent working walls in form of two-chamber members in partitions and in working walls of which coaxial channels are made to deliver, accordingly, compressed air and water-air mixture. Working walls of lower tier are made for installation at a distance of 40-100 mm relative to cast ingot. Channels in partitions and working walls have diameter within 1.5 and 2.5 mm. EFFECT: production of ingots without untolerable rhombic form of cross section at increased continuous casting speeds. |
