FIELD: metallurgy, mechanical engineering and other industries; production of superconductors, copper wire and other copper articles. SUBSTANCE: copper surface, including surface of superconductors, is treated for 3-7 min with activated solution heated to 100-120 C. Solution contains 45-75 g/l of persulphuric acid, hydrogen peroxide and other oxidizers obtained by electrochemical treatment of water solution of sulfuric acid (25-50%). Owing to use of offered method formed on copper surface is homogeneous oxide free from admixtures and stable in composition and thickness, duration of cleaning is reduced to 3-7 min, and quality of cleaned surface remains in good state for a period from 6 months to one year. EFFECT: reduced consumption of sulfuric acid, enhanced efficiency of cleaning of copper surface, improved stability of oxide film, cut down time taken for cleaning. |
