FIELD: plastic metal working; manufacture of section small-tonnage lots. SUBSTANCE: to extend the process potentialities and to reduce roll inventory, identical rectangular bars 1 are assembled in pairs and subjected to couple rolling in joined state in the common edging groove in two passes. In so doing, after the first pass in the edging groove the composite blank is subjected to one of the following operations; turning of the composite blank round its longitudinal axis through 180 deg; changing in places of identical polyhedral blanks in the composite blank without changing their angular position, and turning each of blank of the composite blank round its longitudinal axis. EFFECT: use of low-plastic metal and alloys, reduced roll inventory, higher degree of unification of edging grooves and the initial rectangular blank, and cut down costs of bar sections. |
