PURPOSE: To preliminarily display the use amt. of ink necessary for desired printing. CONSTITUTION: An ink jet printer has a memory part 1 storing the emitting amt. of ink per one printing dot, a printing data developing part 2 developing input image data as printing data, a counter 3 counting the number of printing dots on the basis of the printing data, an operation device 4 integrating the number of the printing dots counted by the counter 3 and the ink emitting amt. per one dot stored in the memory part 1 to operate the total use amt. of ink necessary for actual printing and alarming machinery 5 applying information to a user on the basis of the operation result of the operation device 4. |
