CONVERTER STRUCTURE FOR CONTROLLING EXHAUST GAS

PURPOSE: To provide a converter structure for controlling the exhaust gas capable of preventing a catalyst holding body from being cracked without deteriorating the sealing performance. CONSTITUTION: A catalyst holding body 4 and a shell 2 to cover the outer side of the catalyst holding body are provided through an inorganic sheet layer 31 and a solid lubricant layer 32. The solid lubricant layer is made of the material whose coefficient of friction is <=0.5 and whose melting point is >=1000 deg.C, and the sheet material or coating material which is in the range of 0.1 to 1.0mm in thickness is provided.
