PURPOSE: To prevent the deformation of an orifice plate of a second member and the invasion of a sealing material between the orifice plate and one end of a heater plate into a flow path at the storage or transportation time, by forming a projection in the orifice plate facing one end of a third member. CONSTITUTION: A step difference part 8 (flange part) is formed from an internal side face of an orifice plate 7 to one end of an ink flow groove 3. A projection 9 is formed in the flange part so as to prevent crosstalk between ink flow passages formed when the orifice plate is bonded to a heater board. A top plate 6 is molded simultaneously with the plate 7 in a mold. A height Y of a rib 10 formed in the plat.e 7 is slightly smaller than 100μm. In order to protect a discharge surface of a completed recording head when the recording head is transported and stored, a protecting tape is attached and a protecting cap is covered on the discharge surface. The rib 10 of the height butts the plate 7 to prevent the plate from bending when the protecting cap is pressed to a surface of the plate 7. |
