摘要 PURPOSE: To provide an eye direction measurement device capable of accurately detecting the eye direction by eliminating position deviation by a taking-in time lag between two images of the retinal reflex image position by first and second lighting means and the corneal reflex image position by second lighting means when the eye direction of a vehicle driver is measured by a non-contact remote means. CONSTITUTION: A CCD camera 1 is mounted on one side of the steering wheel and a near infrared light source 10 is co-axially mounted on the CCD camera 1. Another near infrared light source is mounted on the other side of the steering wheel. An image of the eyeball of a driver 101 is taken in the CCD camera 1. The video signals thereof are A/D-converted and then stored in an image memory 107. At that time, the image taken-in is composed of a first image taken by lighting on two lights of 10 and 2 and a second image taken by lighting on a second light 2. The eye direction of the driver is calculated in an eye direction calculation part 108 from the positions of a retinal reflex image and a corneal reflex image.
