发明名称 SURFACE TREATMENT OF INORGANIC MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE: To modify characteristic of surface by activating the surface of an inorganic material base body by the irradiation of ion and, after that, allowing a monomer of an organic polymer to contact with the surface and to polymerization-react to bond and form an organic polymer coating film on the surface of the base body having an arbitrary shape. CONSTITUTION: The covalent bond or ionic bond of the surface of the inorganic material base body is activated by irradiating the surface with ions. As a result, the polymerization initiating surface for the radial polymerization or ionic polymerization of the monomer of the organic polymer is formed. In this case, the ion has preferably energy of 0.1-100keV and the irradiation quantity of the ion is preferably 1×10<14> -1×10<19> ions/cm<2> . Next, the monomer of the organic polymer is allowed to contact with the activated inorganic material base body and the base body is heated to a prescribed temp. As a result, the monomer is made to polymerization-react on the surface of the base body to form the thin film of the organic polymer covalently bonded to the base body.
