PURPOSE: To provide a tactile sense transmitting device capable of transmitting tactile information similar to a tactile sense, obtained in the case of directly touching an object by a person, simulatively to an operator. CONSTITUTION: A device comprises an electric viscoelastic unit 1a, plastic-made vessel 1b receiving this electric viscoelastic unit 1a, pair of electrodes 1c changing mechanical characteristics of the electric viscoelastic unit 1a by applying prescribed voltage to the electric viscoelastic unit 1a and a flexible polymer insulating thin film 1d provided partly in the vessel 1b to transmit changing the mechanical characteristics of the electric viscoelastic unit 1a simultively as tactile information similar to a tactile sense, obtained in the case of directly touching an object by a man, to an operator. |
