PURPOSE: To obtain an ink injection method fit for an ink cartridge container of a type storing an ink absorber separately, by injecting ink into the ink cartridge container by a method including a first, a second and a third steps. CONSTITUTION: An ink container 1 is fixed to a of the instrument 20 with an ink injection opening 12 faced upward. Then, an ink injection nozzle 22 is inserted into the injection opening 12 of the inclined and fixed container 1 to start the injection of ink. The ink in a sub tank 30 passes a cylinder 32 and is sent into a third storing chamber 4 of the container 1. With a timing when the liquid level of the ink exceeds a gas-liquid exchange opening 10, the container 1 is rotated a predetermined angle in a Y direction, so that the air remaining at a bottom part in the storing chamber 4 is let out to a first storing chamber 3. Subsequently, at a moment, when a front end of the injected ink moves to an absorber 2 in the storing chamber 3 from the storing chamber 4 and before the front end runs down a partition wall 9, the container l is rotated in an X direction. The injection speed for the ink is decelerated in conformity with the rotation timing. |
