PURPOSE: To simply and certainly connect a plastic socket to a plastic pipe even if both of them comprise polyolefin. CONSTITUTION: In a method for assembling a plastic pipe and a plastic socket, a finished socket 12 having a welding surface is used and a pipe 11 having an opposed surface with respect to the welding surface is used and the welding surface and the opposed surface are fitted to each other and an electrically heatable welding mat formed corresponding to both surfaces is arranged between them and a current is supplied to the mat to mutually press the socket 12 and the pipe 11.
