PURPOSE: To prevent a fiber from damaging in operation by adding a specific softening component in a treating bath for a textile product. CONSTITUTION: This softening agent composition in a bath contains trimethylglycine as a principal component and is capable of preventing a fiber from damaging. Furthermore, the method for preventing the fiber from damaging is to add the softening agent composition in the bath (containing an anionic surfactant, etc.) and prevent the textile product from damaging due to rubbing, rope wrinkles, etc., during the treating operation. This method is suitable for especially regenerated, silk and wool fibers, and selection of dyeing equipment and processing methods within wide ranges can be carried out to enhance the efficiency of the production in treating and processing the various textile products. |
