PURPOSE: To obtain images of constant quality at all times without depending on the overlapping accuracy of dots large by making the overlapping amount of dots of each color variable for every scanning. CONSTITUTION: A control circuit 5 sends scanning position data of printing heads 1a, 1b, 1c to a setting circuit 4. The setting circuit 4 outputs a delay set signal set for each color beforehand to delay circuits 3a, 3b, 3c based on the positional data, thereby delaying a printing timing signal 6. The delayed printing timing signal is input to driving signal generation circuits 2a, 2b, 2c which in turn output driving signals with the optimum timing to discharge ink drops from the printing heads 1a, 1b, 1c. |
