PURPOSE: To faithfully reproduce desired color under predetermined conditions of output means by mapping color image data within color reproducing range reproduced by predetermined output means under input conditions. CONSTITUTION: Color reproducing range calculating means 1 calculates by using the value of input and output profiles read by setting and reading means 3, 5 of the input and output profiles according to whether the values of R, G, B depending upon the input device can be reproduced by the output device or not. Color space converting means 2 converts the R, G and B values (depending upon the input device into C, Y and K values depending upon a printer 11 by using the values of the input and output profiles read by the means 3, 5 of the input and output profiles. Setting means 12 sets the types of a monitor 10 connected to a host system 100. |
