PURPOSE: To obtain the subject copolymer composed of three kinds of polymer segment, having a bond structure resembling broom shape, capable of improving dispersibility, compatibility and adhesivity, etc., when used as a resin additive or tack/adhesive resin. CONSTITUTION: This copolymer is composed of (A) [A] polymer segment, i.e., a polystyrene with a number-average molecular weight of 10000-200000, (B) [B] polymer segment, i.e., a poly(methyl methacrylate 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) copolymer with a number-average molecular weight of 1000-20000, and (C) [C1 ]-[Cn ] polymer segments, i.e., poly(ε-caprolactone) orε-caprolactone copolymer with a number-average molecular weight of 1000-50000 and average branch number (n) of 5-50, has a bond structure of the formula, and has a standard number-average molecular weight of 10000-1000000 (in terms of polystyrene) determined by GPC.
