PRODUCTION OF MODIFIED POLYPROPYLENE AND MOLDING

PURPOSE: To obtain a modified polypropylene having high melt tension and excellent moldability and processability and molding. CONSTITUTION: In this method for producing a modified polypropylene in which intrinsic viscosity [η] measured by a prescribed method and a residual ratio of boiled xylene extraction are each a prescribed value or below by blending polypropylene with one or more crosslinking auxiliaries selected from an organic peroxide and a diacrylate each having a prescribed weight ratio based on polypropylene and heat-treating the blend at 180-300 deg.C, a propylene composition containing 1-50 wt.% of polypropylene having a prescribed intrinsic viscosity [η]and having 1.0-4.0dl/g intrinsic viscosity as a whole is used. This molding is obtained by using the propylene.
