PURPOSE: To provide a transfer device of a vehicle which can easily detect the high/low speed selection position by the high/low speed selecting mechanism of a subtransmission without using a special detecting means and can easily detect the anomaly of the detecting means when the special detecting means is installed. CONSTITUTION: The input side revolution speed of a subtransmission is detected as the number NR of revolution of the first output shaft connected with a propeller shaft 30 by a rear wheel side revolution speed sensor 98, and the number of revolution of a front wheel side output shaft 24 is detected as the number NF of revolution of the second output shaft by a front wheel side revolution speed sensor 96, and the rear wheel side revolution speed estimation value NR' is calculated from the value formed by multiplying the number NF of revolution by the gear ratioγL on the low speed side of the subtransmission, and this value and the rear wheel side number NR of revolution are compared. Then, the high/low speed state of the substransmission is judged, and when the accordance of the detection signals of the high and low speed shift position sensors 86 and 88 for detecting the selection positions of the high/low speed selecting mechanism is judged, the anomaly of each sensor 86, 88 is judged.
