PURPOSE: To automate the opening and closing of a sash by loading a friction roller connected to a bottom rail of one sash with pressure to stiles of the other sash of a double sliding opening and closing sash and, at the same time, providing a driving device for revolving the friction roller forward and in reverse. CONSTITUTION: When a switch is turned ON in OFF direction of a sash, a motor 12 revolves forward, and a friction roller 13 mounted to the lower part of stiles 3 of one sash is revolved. After that, the other sash is automatically opened with frictional force between the stiles and bottom rail of the other sash connecting the roller 13 with pressure. When the switch is turned OFF in ON direction of the sash, the motor 12 is revolved in reverse to close a door automatically. A compression spring 14 is energized in the direction of connecting the roller 13 to the side of the bottom rail through a movable frame 10. In addition, pressure connection force of the roller 13 is adjusted with a roller face pressure adjusting screw 15. By the constitution, the opening and closing of the sash are automated, so that it can be easily opened and closed even by physically handicapped persons, etc., and pressure connecting force of the roller can be properly ensured. |
